Why we do This

Our story started when the creator of EllarMarine visited Ogunquit Beach in Maine, USA, and saw an injured seagull. The seagull could not walk because fishing wire damaged its leg. It eventually got tired and fell from the sky, limping terribly. He tried to help, but the seagull was so scared, it flew away! In another instance that day, he saw a rock crab, blind in one eye. The eye was injured, bending unnaturally forward, and hanging on by a string. The crab seemed to have completely lost the other eye. Witnessing injured sea animals' pain and suffering made him realize that he needed to put a stop to marine life damage, most of which careless and irresponsible humans are causing.
